Since Landon is now 3 1/2 months old, I figured it was about time to announce his arrival on the blog! I'm serious this time when I say that I'm going to start being better about posting!
Landon was born on March 23, 2011 at 5:35 pm. He weighed in at 7 lbs 12 oz and was 22 in. long! This was our first family picture! Many more pictures and stories to come! Stay tuned!

20 WEEKS

I know it's been awhile since I've posted so for those of you who haven't heard...we are having a baby! A baby BOY to be exact. We couldn't be happier! Here is a sneak peek of my growing baby bump at 20 weeks.

Work Outfit

Wow! Do I suck at blogging or what? Unfortunately I don't have a ton of pictures nor do I have time to catch up on the last year's events since my last post! A year and a half went by fast. Some fun events in the past few months:
May 2009--A trip to Hawaii with Matt's family
June 2009--A new nephew, Brooks Johnson Eve
August 2009--A new nephew again, Jacob Henry Vaclaw
July 2009--Another new nephew, Samuel Roberts Burkinshaw
November 2009--ANOTHER new nephew, Ewan Jeffrey Burkinshaw...are we seeing a pattern?
November 2009--A trip to Tucson, AZ to see new baby Ewan and family for Thanksgiving
December 2009--A new niece, Jillian Stacey Richards
December 2009--My 21st Birthday!!
December 2009--A trip back home to OK for fun with family during the holidays!
January 2010--The start of Matt's final semester for his Bachelor's degree!!

Obviously our families are rapidly growing and we LOVE it! It takes the pressure off of us to start having kids and its much more fun to play with kids when you can give them back when they start crying! I'm sure there are many other fun things that have happened in our lives the past year and a half but I can't think of them all! We are quickly approaching making some major decisions on where our lives/careers are headed so that is very scary/exciting! Matt will graduate in May with a degree in Business-Management and I will graduate in August with a degree in Interior Design and we are both soo excited for what our futures hold!
I promise to do better with keeping up on our blog for those who are interested and for ourselves!

TWINS!

This post is a little overdo, but my sister-in-law, Molly, and brother, Paul just had identical twin girls on August 22, 2008. Their names are Olivia and Aislee and I just love them to death! Olivia was 4 lbs and Aislee was 5 lbs so they were just little tiny. I was the only sibling living closeby at the time and they were fairly close to us at Alta View Hospital, so I went up just about everyday to visit them until they got to come home! Matt and I with both of the girls.
Matt's mom was in town at the time, so she was lucky enough to get to see them even before my mom!
Auntie Robyn came up to visit them one day.
And Grandma Stevens also came up with our cousin, Nikki.
And here are the two of them together! They are so adorable!

Fly Fishing

Matt has decided recently that he needs a new hobby and decided to pick up fly fishing. He's been a few times before but we went out and got him all the equiptment he needed. We went up to Big Cottonwood Canyon right by the family cabin. Matt fished for quite awhile while I just sat outside and enjoyed a good book! Here is Matt attaching his bait.

John Mayer concert

Matt and I had gotten tickets for the John Mayer concert before our wedding, so a couple of weeks after we got home from Oklahoma we got to go to our concert. It was at the Usana Ampitheatre here in Salt Lake City. Its outdoor, so we just brought a blanket to sit on and enjoyed the beautiful Utah summer nights. Colbie Cailat opened for John and she was absolutely amazing! It was a really fun concert!

We met up with Matt's cousin, Jake and his girlfriend, Sahar and had lots of fun hanging out with them!

4th of July

A couple of days after we got home from Mexico, we headed down to Oklahoma for the 4th of July and our reception in Bartlesville. We went to the huge famous Vaclaw Fireworks show and had lots of fun spending time with our families as a newly married couple!

Here is Matt with our two nieces, Mary Kate and Grace. They really bonded during all the wedding festivities and loved hanging out with eachother which was really cute!

Honeymoon!

These are some pictures from our honeymoon. We went to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and it was a blast! We stayed at Dreams Resort which was amazing and had tons of fun!

Our 2nd day in Puerto Vallarta, we went into town to do some shopping. They kept saying they would give us good deals since Matt spoke Spanish but they still definitely tried to rip us off. It was still fun though! This is during our canopy tour, which was a zipline through the jungle. It was SO much fun!
At the end of the zip line they had monkeys and snakes and some other animals that you could hold. I held the monkeys which was so fun and here is Matt holding the snake. As you can see, I was scared out of my mind and only stayed close for 2 seconds so someone could snap a picture.
There was also a lot of lounging on the beach. Matt would get his virgin pina colada and I would get my virgin strawberry daiquiri and we would lay out on the beach all day long! We were so tan!
This was our last night at the resort! They had a Mexican fiesta with TONS of delicious Mexican food and some entertainment. As you can see from the picture, the sky started to darken early in the evening and the fiesta ended early due to the storm.
